FINANCE MINISTRY TOUTS FIRST PRIMARY SURPLUS IN YEARS

The Ministry of Finance of Saint Lucia is reporting that the country’s economy registered a primary surplus for the first time in years.

This is due to a rebound in the economy, tighter fiscal management, and greater revenue collection.

The government is projecting another primary surplus and further expansion of the economy in the next fiscal year.
