DROWNING AT COCO DAN VIEUX FORT

It was intended to be a fun day at the beach on the corpus Christi holiday on Thursday, for a group of family and friends from the close-knit community of grace Vieux Fort. But it turned out to be a tragedy. 26 year old Chester Ronald Mitchell was having a swim in the sea at Coco Dan along the east coast in Vieux Fort when his friends noticed that he had gone missing. A search for the young father, whose baby was only three months old ensued, the emergency services were notified. The lifeless body of the once vibrant young man was retrieved from the water by the marine police unit. He had apparently drowned.
