CATHERINE SEALYS ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The president of raise you Voice St. Lucia Catherine Sealys wants an investigation into the conduct of the complaints made by the murdered 33 year old Bonita James, if the claims of her father are correct. Bonita James is said to have made repeated complaints to the Dennery police about the physical abuse and threats of her partner. According to Sealys the enactment of the anti domestic violence legislation is a significant step but cannot on its own stop gender based violence.
