Following the passage of Tropical Storm Bret Prime Minister Issued the “All Clear” via a message on Facebook. The PM noted “On the advice of emergency personnel, as of 11:45 a.m. the ALL CLEAR has been given for Saint Lucia to open. Please continue to exercise caution when venturing outdoors. Stay Safe Saint Lucia”.
This means that all businesses can reopen and conduct business, schools however, remain closed.
Via the same medium, the PM also noted “Airports will reopen at 3:00 p.m. today. Please contact your airline for updates on your scheduled flights.”
There has been no official word on any reports of damage to the country’s infrastructure and communication channels.
Utility and Telecommunications companies have all disptached service crews to undergo repair to their respective networks.
