A Washington State Patrol trooper got an early Halloween scare when he pulled over a driver in the carpool lane, reported Fox News.

Washington State Patrol District 2 Trooper Rick Johnson said in a post on X that the driver was in the HOV lanes on Interstate 405 in Renton, Wash., when another trooper noticed a creepy occupant in the passenger seat.

Once the driver was pulled over, the trooper confirmed the “passenger” was a terrifying clown dummy with flaming red hair, a red foam nose and a horrific grimace.
Johnson joked that while he liked the vibe, inflatables aren’t legitimate HOV passengers.
“Love the Halloween vibe but still doesn’t count!!!” Johnson wrote on X.
Apparently, the use of a dummy added another $200 to the infraction.
“Dummy added $$$$$ to the infraction !!!” wrote Johnson.
The Washington State Department of Transportation said that first-time HOV violators receive a fine of $186 and if the same driver receives the same violation within two years that ticket increases to $336.

However, anyone who uses a doll or a dummy in the car will automatically have $200 added to whatever ticket they get.
It’s not known exactly what this particular driver was fined.
Either way, scary!
