‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ in 2023: Every New Season and Series Premiering This Year

The RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise expanded into new territory in 2022 with the launch of Drag Race France and Drag Race Philippines. 2023 is kicking off with not only a brand new season of the mother series, but with the grand debut of two brand new entries into the Drag Race pantheon. Drag Race Belgique and Drag Race Sverige will bring drag from Belgium and Sweden to the world stage. Those new installments join further seasons of successful Drag Race series airing in the United States (RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8) and around the globe (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 5).

With so much Drag Race happening everywhere all at once, it’s impossible to keep up with all of the various spinoffs (and spinoffs of spinoffs). That’s a problem that this Drag Race guide is here to solve. Below you will find a list of every Drag Race season that’s either on the way or in the works right now — and we’ve even arranged them by when we think they’ll premiere based on what we know of their production schedule. And in case you want to do your own sleuthing, you can get a detailed timeline of when a season was announced, when casting opened and closed, and when the queens were announced for pretty much every season by checking the Drag Race Wiki. Meanwhile, we’ll keep this guide up-to-date with new information about every 2023 season’s hosts, judges, release dates, and — of course — all of the queens.

Season: 8
Premiere: TBA
Network: Paramount+
Host: RuPaul
Judges: Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews
Queens: TBA

Drag Race has made All Stars a late spring/summer event for the past two years, so there’s no reason to think they won’t do the same for this year. The real question is, will we get regular All Stars and the debut of Global All Stars in the same year?

Summer 2023

Show: RuPaul’s Drag Race UK
Season: 5
Premiere: TBA
Network: WOW Presents Plus
Host: RuPaul
Judges: Michelle Visage, Graham Norton, Alan Carr

This is earlier than usual for Drag Race UK, but the show’s casting opened and closed two months ahead of schedule too. That indicates that we could get a new season of UK alongside another major Drag Race spinoff series…

Show: Canada’s Drag Race
Season: 4
Premiere: TBA
Network: WOW Presents Plus
Host: Brooke Lynn Hytes
Judges: Brad Goreski, Traci Melchor
Queens: TBA

Canada’s Drag Race returned to its summertime slot in 2022 and Season 4 is on track for a summer 2023 debut. Does that mean that we could be looking at a summer with new episodes of All Stars, UK, and Canada all in one week? Wow, if true.

A third season has already been ordered and a late summer debut would make sense, probably after All Stars finishes its run on Paramount+. The only question is, will Secret Celebrity Drag Race remain on VH1 as previously announced? Or will it go to MTV?

Fall 2023

Show: RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under
Season: 3
Premiere: TBA
Network: WOW Presents Plus
Host: RuPaul

The next season of Drag Race Down Under could push the series from its usual late summer premiere and into early fall, if the timeline of the series’ casting announcements is indicative of the production schedule.

Show: RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars
Season: 1
Premiere: TBA
Network: Paramount+
Host: RuPaul
Judges: TBA
Queens: TBA

This series may be the biggest mystery of them all. Since both All Stars 8 and Global All Stars have been announced, it feels safe to say that one isn’t replacing the other. Is Global All Stars taking the place of the vs. the World format from last year? We can assume RuPaul is the host considering the series’ name, but will the American judges also be involved? At any rate, we probably won’t know more about this one for a while.

Show: Drag Race España All Stars
Season: 1
Premiere: TBA
Network: WOW Presents Plus
Host: Supremme De Luxe
Judges: Ana Locking, Javier Calvo, Javier Ambrossi
Queens: TBA

Drag Race España will be the first international season to get its very own All Stars series. Does this preclude the España queens from competing on Global All Stars? Who knows!

TBA

And on top of all of that, there’s still a possibility that a few existing shows could have new seasons announced that will debut later this year — specifically looking at Drag Race Italia Season 3, Drag Race Holland Season 3, and Drag Race Thailand Season 3. And beyond that, even more international spinoffs have been announced — and some of them could even pop up at the end of the year. Those spinoffs include Drag Race entries from Brazil, Germany, Mexico, India, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea.
