Here are some nuggets from Mets spring training on Friday:
Not mucking up
Zach Muckenhirn, who remains in the bullpen mix, pitched a scoreless eighth inning in the Mets’ 11-2 exhibition victory over the Rays at Tropicana Field.
The left-hander has not allowed an earned run in his seven appearances this spring.
Vogie’s quiet

Daniel Vogelbach went 0-for-1 with a walk.
The Mets designated hitter is batting only .222 this spring, joining Darin Ruf and Tommy Pham among players who haven’t produced in the Grapefruit League.
Caught my eye
Danny Mendick shifted from second base to left field in the seventh inning.
It was Mendick’s second appearance in the outfield this spring.
Manager Buck Showalter has spoken highly of Mendick throughout camp.
Saturday’s schedule
Tylor Megill and David Peterson are scheduled to pitch against the Cardinals at Clover Park.
