VOA UN correspondent Margaret Besheer said that the Joint Coordinating Center (JCC) has announced that her two vessels will carry a total of 70,020 tons of food through the Maritime Humanitarian Corridor under the Black Sea Grains Initiative. I am reporting that I have approved the departure of the ship.

Vessels authorized to move on 9 August were:

1) MV OCEAN LION loaded her 64,720 tons of corn from the port of Chornomorsk and sailed to the Republic of Korea. Incheon is the destination.

2) MV RAHMI YAGCI from Chornomorsk Port She will load 5,300 tons of sunflower meal with a destination in Istanbul, Turkey.

The JCC reports that timing may be affected based on readiness, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
