Rivers United midfielder Joseph Onoja, is full of praise for Bendel Insurance for achieving a historic feat in the Nigeria Premier League.
The Benin Arsenals set a new record for the longest unbeaten streak in the 2022/23 season.
Monday Odigie’s side were unbeaten in 21 games.
Rivers United halted the run after edging out Insurance 2-1 on Friday night.
“Bendel Insurance are a good side no doubt about that,” Onoja told DAILY POST in a post match interview.
“They really gave a good account of themselves as they brought out their best game against us.
“The win will definitely inspire us to victory’s in the ongoing NPL Super Six playoff.”
Rivers United currently top the table with eight points from four games.
