Woman rushed to hospital in Fife after pub attack

A woman was rushed to hospital in Fife after being assaulted at a village pub on Saturday night.

A heavy police presence was seen on Main Street in Kelty after they were alerted to the incident at around 9.50pm.

Local reports say that the woman was lying on the ground when she was found outside The Kings pub. A witness phoned the emergency services when they saw the woman's injuries from an attack.

An ambulance also reportedly attended the scene. Police say enquiries are ongoing into the incident. The woman's condition is currently unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a woman having been assaulted at premises on Main Street in Kelty around 9.50pm on Saturday, 30 September.

“The woman was taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing.”
